Part ofMarvel Snap’samazingly fun gameplay is building decks around certain play styles. One way to narrow down which deck players run is choosing 6-cost cards. Typically, cards that cost 6 Energy have powerful abilities that greatly affect andalter the board stateof games.

Flavor-wise, 6-cost cards often have larger-than-life Marvel characters to give them more gravitas when they are cast. But among the available cards currently available, which ones stand out the most? From hulking powerhouses and veritable gods to nefarious and universe-level threats, these are thebest 6-cost cards inMarvel Snapthat should be part of any player’s deck.
10Apocalypse
Most 6-cost cards often rely on having decks that revolve around their ability, or at least have a theme that utilizes their ability. Apocalypse is one such card: he is a 6-cost, 8-power card thatgets more powerfulif he gets discarded. He goes back into the player’s hand with plus 4 power.
He is often the 6-cost card in discard decks since he can bolster his power significantly if the deck manages to keep adding up its discarder combos. Sif and Dracula are often needed to maximize Apocalypse’s power, and it’s up to the player if they want to play Apocalypse on Turn 6, or keep him in their hand and let Dracula get even more beefy once the dust settles.
9America Chavez
One of the first 6-cost cards available during the early stages ofMarvel Snap, America Chavez is a great introduction to how strong 6-cost cards can be for newer players. Sporting a respectable 9 power, America Chavez’s ability always ensures players draw her on turn 6.
While other 6-cost cards have board-altering power, America Chavez relies on her consistency to keep players in the match. For players still learning which deck is more akin to their playstyle, having America Chavez as their starting deck’s 6-cost is a good choice.
8Odin
The All-Father himself, Odin is considered to be one of the morereliable 6-cost cardsinMarvel Snap. He has a hefty 8 Power once he is cast, and his ability is potent, especially for decks that revolve around On Reveal effects.

This is due to Odin’s ability. On Reveal is an ability that he activates other cards’ On Reveal on the location where he is played. This combo can be board-altering, especially if played in tandem with Wong and his many shenanigans with other On Reveal cards.
7Arnim Zola
One of the more combo-reliant 6-cost cards, Arnim Zola gives a more dynamic element for decks that run him. While he has 0 Power, his On Reveal ability destroys a friendly card where he is played, then the destroyed card is then copied in the other locations.
This is anexceptionally strong combo for cardsthat become stronger when they are destroyed like Wolverine and Nimrod. Venom decks also run Arnim Zola since they send Venom into other locations to devour other friendly cards in those locations to further strengthen his Power.
6Knull
For players who want to reward themselves for destroying cards on the board, Knull is the best 6-cost card. His ability is a ticking time bomb since he gets Power equivalent to all cards that were destroyed in the game, including cards from the opponent’s side. This encompassing power is apt, flavor-wise, to Knull as he is theSymbiote God in the comics.
In the later stages of a match, if many cards were destroyed prior to the final turn when Knull is played on any one location, usually he can claim that location as a win for the player.
5She-Hulk
When it comes to surprise drops, She-Hulk is one of the more versatile 6-cost cards inMarvel Snap. At 9 Power, she immediately sways the battle in her player’s favor. But what makes her a solid 6-cost card is her ability—her cost becomes one less for each unspent Energy during the previous turn.

This can make her a sneaky early drop for players who create a deck revolving around her mechanic. Sunspot and Wave are prime combo partners with She-Hulk, as the former gets more Power for each unspent Energy, and the latter can block the opponent’s momentum and hard cast She-Hulk at turn 4.
4Magneto
For players who want to feel thatthey control the game, Magneto is the 6-cost card whose ability feels like a game-changer. Boasting 12 Power, the Master of Magnetism also has a strong On Reveal ability which pulls any of the opponent’s 3 and 4-cost cards from other locations to where Magneto has been played.
This is a strong ability to use since it can mess up the opponent’s side of the board, and given Magneto’s amazing Power stat, in most cases he can overcome the 3 and 4-cost cards he pulled to his location.
3Doctor Doom
Doctor Doom is a great close-out option for people who want to further populate their locations with sizable cards. Doctor Doom has 5 Power, which isn’t as strong as other 6-costs, but his On Reveal ability makes up for it. Once he is played, Doctor Doom spawns two Doom Bots on the other locations that have 4 Power and do not have abilities.
In most cases, having an extra 4 Power in two locations is just enough of a swing to win the match, which is why Doctor Doom is a strong 6-cost card to have in any deck.
2Thanos
Part of the dreaded Leech and Lockjaw deck, Thanos is a powerful 6-cost card that spells game over whenever he gets to the board.Whatever deck Thanos is in, six Infinity Stones will be added to the deck—if the player manages to play all six Infinity Stones, Thanos gets a whopping plus 10 Power.

Each Infinity Stone has its own On Reveal ability and only costs 1 Energy. Players have found ways to speed up the placement of these Stones to make Thanos a 20-Power beast that will surely win any location he lands on.
1Galactus
As far as meta-defining 6-cost cards are concerned, Galactus stands above all the others. At first glance, a 6-cost, 3 Power card might seem underpowered, and his On Reveal ability sees him destroy all other locations apart from the one he is played on if he has no other ally cards there while managing to defeat the opposing players’ card power on the same location might seem too gimmicky, but there have been ways to pull off this dastardly ability consistently.
The infamous Wave deck allows players to cast him on Turn 4 and has become such a menace thatGalactus and other key cardsgot nerfed to balance out the meta.
