There are many reasons that gamers continue to return toMinecraftyears after the game was first released. One of the most obvious reasons is exploration. With some of the largest worlds in gaming, there is no shortage of discoveries to make. In addition, these worlds are full of life, as the game includes manyhostile, neutral, and passive mobs. Despite this variety of mobs that spawn in the world, that did not stop one player from adding another.
In a post on Reddit, a user known as PolygonalTriesToHard shared a video from a recent project they had worked on inMinecraft. However, this was no ordinary project. Instead, the Reddit user revealed that they had successfully added penguins into the game using a resource pack they had created. In the video, the creator used an egg to spawn a penguin on the ground. The small flightless bird featured a cute design, as it had black and white feathers and a yellow beak. In addition, the blocky build of the mob fitted perfectly into the voxel art style of the world. Besides spawning the tiny penguin in the ice biome, the creator revealed that it could waddle.

In addition to showing off the penguin in a video, PolygonalTriesToHard shared more details about the resource packs in the Reddit comments. According to the creator, they came up with the idea to add penguins toMinecraftbecause they liked the concept of biome-dependent mobs and believed the game needed more of them. In addition, they noted thatComplementary Shaders were usedin the video to enhance the look of the mob. Furthermore, while working on the project, they revealed one of the most challenging aspects was getting the penguins to spawn only in cold biomes.
Unsurprisingly, numerous members of theMinecraftcommunity took notice of this impressive penguin resource pack made by PolygonalTriesToHard. With over 800 upvotes in less than a day, many found the design of the mob to be adorable. Specifically, some pointed out that they loved the waddle animation for the creature. “This is literally the most adorable thing ever!” one user said. In addition, some fans wished thatthe developers at Mojangwould decide to add penguins to the unmodded version ofMinecraft, as they believed that the cold biomes felt barren.
This is just one of many incredible projects players have recently completed in the game. Besides this penguin resource pack, another fan made agiant creepy hand inMinecraft. As gamers continue to play the title in the months ahead, it will be interesting to see what other creations are made next. If this resource pack from PolygonalTriesToHard is anything to go off of, they are likely to be impressive.
