DespiteMonster Hunter Risebeing a number of months away, that hasn’t stopped the development team from sharing little bits and pieces of information about the game with eager fans. Previously,Great Sword gameplay was shown, but this time, more details have been revealed about the game’s character, Palico, and Palamute customization tools and features.
The information comes from the officialMonster HunterTwitter account, in which it posted a one minute video teasing some of the customization features forMonster Hunter Rise’s characters. According to the video, players will be able to customize their character’s facial features such as skin, hair, facial hair, eyes, and much more, while also having the option to adjust the length and size of certain features to their liking. Additionally, players will also have a chance to customize theirfeline companions, the Palicoes, in a similar fashion by adjusting their overall body features and looks.

Palamutes, which are canine companions that will be making their debut inMonster Hunter Rise, will also receive full-on customization features for players to play around with and just as much as they want. For the most part, Palamutes will have the same customization options as Palicoes, however, players will not be able to select the “Support Type” for the canine companions. Since Capcom revealed thatPalamutes will be attack-type companions, they won’t be able to support players as much as Palicoes, meaning that they won’t be able to heal, for example. Still, having a companion that will be at a player’s side for the majority of a fight will allow dog lovers to make the appropriate choice.
BeforeMonster Hunter Risecomes out, Capcom will most likely share a lot more information about the game in order to hype up the players. One piece of information that some are hoping for aremonsters that’ll be new toMonster Hunter Rise. Although the company has already introduced a handful of new monsters, there is still a very high chance that even more will be shown in the next few months or up until the game comes out.
As far as weapons go, it’s hard to say if any new weapons will be making their debut inMonster Hunter Rise. Since Capcom will introduce the Wire Bug mechanic, every weapon will have its move set upgraded to feel unique and cater to certain playstyles. Additionally, theWire Bug will also work outside of combat, allowing players to traverse a variety of landscapes and uncover points of interest as well as areas within the game.
Monster Hunter Risecomes out for the Nintendo Switch on July 04, 2025.
