For Dual Blades users, there might be a lot of weapons they haven’t tried to craft, or even whole Elements or status effects they have yet to experiment with in hunts. Check out these four additionalDual Blades that are extremely fun to useinMonster Hunter World, especially for the unconventional play styles or methods of obtaining them that can introduce players to undiscovered fun.

Flood Sac x2

Upgrade from Jyura Keenblades I: 24000z

Unfortunately, there’s no “mud” element, so Jyuratodus fans will have to settle for a Water element weapon. These Dual Blades may seem sub-par if based on the Sharpness alone, which only gives a decent amount of Blue level. However, its 364 Attack is pretty stellar for a weapon as fast as Dual Blades, especially when paired with 300 in Water Element.

When combined with Handicraft, the Jyura Keenblades II reaches a substantial amount of White Sharpness, too. It even has two slots for Decorations that can be used to increase Attack or Elemental Attacks. Considering its relatively simple list of required materials, this should be an easy choice for a Water element weapon in late-gameMonster Hunter World.

Kjarr Daggers “Spark” model in Monster Hunter World

Materials Required

Complete “The Fury of El Dorado”

As with many rare items inMonster Hunter World, the Kjarr Daggers “Spark” require no materials to craft, just a hunter’s sheer willpower and strength. The Event Quest “The Fury of El Dorado” will pit hunters in a siege againstthe Elder Dragon known as the Kulve Taroth. This quest is only available every other two weeks, alternating with “Safi’jiiva Siege.”

As a reward for completing the quest, hunters can craft these Dual Blades, which boasts 252 Attack, 180 Thunder, +20 Defense, 15% Affinity, and a hefty amount of White Sharpness. Although many Dual Blades users will frequently use weapons like the Zinogre line, these Dual Blades are not only stronger, but they’re also a medal proving a hunter’s worth.

Wyvern Strife model from Monster Hunter World

Rath Gleam x2

Upgrade from Wyvern Lovers: 80000z

There are a few Dual Blades inMonster Hunter Worldthat have the unique quality of two active Elements in each attack. The Wyvern Strife is the fully-upgraded version of theTwin Flames,a weapon that combines the best of both Rathian and Rathalos parts for a joint Poison and Fire-dealing weapon.

Even compared to less unique Dual Blades, the Wyvern Strife is a standout. Not only does it have great Sharpness into the rare Purple level, but even without any Skill boosts, the Wyvern Strife has 378 Attack, 36 Poison/36 Fire, and 15% Affinity. Its Poison and Fire element levels may seem low, but don’t forget that this weapon can be useful against monsters that are weak to either element. It’s among the most versatile weapons in the entire game.

Fire and Ice model in Monster Hunter World

Purecrystal x2

Upgrade from Fire and Ice: 56000z

The Xeno Raqs model

Similar to the Wyvern Strife, the Blizzard and Blaze Dual Blades offer a similar useful mechanic of having two Elements. In this case, the Teostra and Kushala Daora combine to make a weapon with, as the name suggests, Ice Element and Blast Element. Both of these are incredibly useful in different situations, making it an extremely smart choice for hunters looking for a one-size-fits-all.

The Blizzard and Blaze may only have 33 attack power for each of its Elements, but their combined strength, paired with 364 Attack, 10% Affinity, and Purple Sharpness more than makes up for that downside. Plus, experienced hunters of the series' past gamesshould have no trouble farming Kushala Daora and Teostrato acquire the necessary materials.

Safi’s Bindclaws model in Monster Hunter World

Pulsing Dragonshell x7

Upgrade from Xeno Raqs: 80000z

Of all the new monsters introduced inMonster Hunter World: Iceborne, theXeno’jiiva, and its evolved form, Safi’jiiva, are among the most difficult, capable of explosive attacks and walls of flaming breath. Alongside strong blue and white Sharpness levels, the Xeno Raqs+ have a whopping 240 Dragon element, 392 base Attack, 15% Affinity, and two level 4 slots for Decorations. As far as Dragon element weapons go, they’re some of the best in the game, and have very few downsides, apart from requiring players to best both forms of this horrific monster to obtain them.

Arcanaria III model in Monster Hunter World

Complete “Safi’jiiva Siege”: 10000z

Safi’s Bindclawsare another weapon that require the difficult task of defeating the Safi’jiiva. However, rather than being crafted from Monster Parts like most weapons, this brand of Safi’jiiva weapon can be obtained as a reward from “Safi’jiiva Siege,” a unique quest for 16 hunters which is only available for short periods of time inMonster Hunter World: Iceborne.

Zireael model in Monster Hunter World

As a reward for completing the quest, players can get one of 115 weapons, with every weapon type and element/status combination accounted for. Safi’s Bindclaws, uniquely, come with 90 Paralysis, which pairs well with its decent white-level Sharpness, 378 base Attack, and 5% Affinity.
