Some of the Klues in Season 3 ofMortal Kombat 1’s Invasions Mode are a little tricky to figure out. Others are incredibly obvious, even for those with very little knowledge of the game or thelong-running video game franchiseto which it belongs. Then there are the Klues that are just straight-up broken, as is the case with the DEADLY TAIL Klue in the Crush It node of the Living Forest.
Even getting to the Klue itself is a little janky, as, at the time of writing, at least, the path leading to the Crush It node from the south won’t appear on-screen despite being active, forcingMortal Kombat 1players to approach from the west instead. Things aren’t much better when they do finally land on the node, as it too seems to be suffering from some sort of programming error.
How to Solve the DEADLY TAIL Klue in Mortal Kombat 1
As of the time of writing, players will be able to complete the DEADLY TAIL Klue simply by defeating Li Mai in the Crush It node. The nearby debris won’t disappear after finishing the encounter like it usually would when aMortal Kombat 1Klueis solved, but players will be able to walk right through it and open the chest anyway. The general consensus seems to be that the intended strategy here is to use either Motaro’s (Forward, Down, Down, Kameo) or Sareena’s (Back, Down, Down, Kameo) Kameo Fatality, but unless the developers get around to fixing the node, it really doesn’t matter too much either way.
DEADLY TAIL Klue Rewards
Inside the DEADLY TAIL Klue chest, players will findJohnny Cage’s Kombat and Chill skin, theOverload Epic relic, and250 Seasonal Kredits. The former can be equipped in the Kustomize menu, while the relic can be used exclusively in Invasions Mode. As for the Seasonal Kredits, players will be able to use these topurchase all manner of winter-themed cosmetics from the Seasonal Store, though they’ll need to do so before the end of the season or risk seeing their Seasonal Kredits expire. Much like the Kustomize menu, players can access the Seasonal Store via the game’s main menu.
