There are still plenty moreMortal Kombat 1DLC fighters where these two came from, including other guest combatants likeThe Boys’Homelander and the anti-hero Peacemaker of DC Comics fame. Kombat Pack 1 also includes a few fighters who were already a part of theMortal Kombatfranchise, such as thewicked Netherrealm sorcerer Quan Chi. Thanks to a recent post from Ed Boon, fans now have an idea about when NetherRealm will show off Quan Chi’sMortal Kombat 1DLC character trailer. Boon shared a brief clip of Quan Chi facing off against his former ally Shang Tsung before a match, complete with a clever reference to their previous turn as thedual main antagonists ofMortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance.More importantly, the snippet ends with the word “CCXP” displayed in text, and Boon’s post comments that the upcoming CCXP event in Brazil “should be fun.”

Many are taking this as a confirmation that NetherRealm will release a newMortal Kombat 1gameplay trailer centered around the playable Quan Chi at CCXP 2023 on December 3, complete with a release date and a look at some of the necromancer’smost brutal attacks and Fatalities. The formerly named Comic Con Experience convention is held every year in Sao Paulo, Brazil, andMortal Kombat 1parent company Warner Bros has already confirmed its presence at this year’s event to promote upcoming films likeGodzilla x Kong: The New Empire, andAquaman: The Lost Kingdom.

Warner Bros. Games will also have a segment during CCXP 2023, so it would stand to reason that NetherRealm would show off some newMortal Kombat 1content as Ed Boon is suggesting with his latest social media post. Said segment will likely reveal the next DLC character, which seems to be the deadly sorcerer Quan Chi. EagerMortal Kombat 1fans will likely need to keep their eyes peeled on Sunday, December 3 to get their first look at how Quan Chi will operate as a fully playable character following his NPC appearances in the base game.
