This article will contain spoilers fromMy Hero AcademiaSeason 6, episode 7, “Disaster Walker”, currently streaming onCrunchyroll.
The Awakened Shigaraki has finally emerged at practically full force (only having completed 80% of his transition) to demolish Jaku Hospital and the surrounding city with his Advanced Decay, and wanting nothing more than to addOne For All to his collection.
Realizing the danger that everyone is in, Deku races off into the distance to lure the enemy away, with Bakugo hot on his heels, while Endeavor does his best to detain the devilish fiend. Aizawa’s Erasure levels out the battlefield slightly, however, Shigaraki still has some tricks up his sleeve (not to mention an army of Nomus that have miraculously survived the chaos.)

Team Endeavor’s Determination
Although most of Shigaraki’s powers have been disabled by Aizawa’s intense glare, he still manages to give the Heroes a run for their money as he maneuvers through the rubble of Jaku Hospital. Thanks to his genetically engineered physique, the now “Quirkless” villain has about as much strength and speed as All Might (with significantly more sinister intent, that is).
Endeavor gives it his all but Shigaraki evades every attack, and even the great Ryukyu struggles to lay a finger on the youngster but is promptly removed from the equation when she is knocked out cold. The other Pro-Heroes who came to assist the No. 1 Hero are now preoccupied with the rampaging Nomus which, according to Dr. Ujiko, are “Near High Ends” (just as strong as top-tier monstrosities but without the capacity for independent thought.)
Saving Sensei
The quick-witted Shigaraki is fully aware that he has the upper hand in this situation but also acknowledges that his life would be much easier if he was running at full capacity. He suddenly changes his tune and targets Eraser Head instead, who is essentially a sitting duck at his point in time. After instructingDeku and Bakugo to make themselvesscarce, Gran Torino rushes off to defend Aizawa, but even he is not fast enough to close the gap. Suddenly, Deku arrives to block Shigaraki’s path in the nick of time, subsequently putting his life (and One For All) on the line to defend his Sensei.
If Shigaraki gets his hands on Deku’s overwhelming Quirk it would surely be the end of the line (particularly since his genetically modified body would likely cope with all the excess power and would not experience Midoriya’s growing pains.) However, according to Deku, All for One reuniting with his brother isnotthe worst-case scenario, and he’s not entirely wrong. Shigaraki may be a handful in his current state, however,if Eraser Head is removedfrom the picture, his almighty Decay Quirk would return and every Hero and civilian in the nearby vicinity would undoubtedly be eliminated within seconds. The only way to ensure that doesn’t happen is to keep Aizawa alive, at all costs.

Bakugo is not about to miss out on any action and makes his presence known with his Armor-Piercing Machine Gun, while Deku uses his Blackwhip to try and keep the tyrant at bay. Grateful that his son didn’t follow his friends into danger,Endeavor takes over Shoto’s spotin this iconic Class A team-up and bombards Shigaraki with Hell Spider (which the Symbol of Evil evades with ease.) Gran Torino probably has the most experience dealing with this amount of force, seeing that he personally trained All Might (and survived) but unfortunately, he is swatted away like a pesky fly. Determined to leave his vengeful mark, Bakugo comes in with his Grenadier Bracer blasts leaving Deku the opportunity to throw in a quick Smash, which is promptly followed by Endeavor’s epic Vanishing Fist. Have the tables finally turned? Will this be enough to thwart the omnipotent Shigaraki? Unlikely.
The Mount Lady and Machia Match-Up
The students in the Rear Guard of Team Edgeshot are growing increasingly anxious as it becomes evident that the Gunga Mountain Villa Raid is not quite going according to plan. The remaining Pro-Heroes have rushed off to deal with Gigantomachia, who seems to have burst straight from the bowels of Hell, eager to return to his Master’s side. Grabbing members ofthe (former) League of Villainsalong the way (and Tomoyasu, at Dabi’s request), Machia makes a bee-line for Jaku Hospital (8km away) but crashes head-first into Mount Lady. Although almost equally matched in size, it is clear that the monstrous Machia possesses superior strength, as the gargantuan gal struggles to impede his progress through the forest.

The other Pro-Heroes cautiously keep tabs on the behemoth battle while simultaneously attempting to avoid Geten’s shower of ice shards, but their attacks bounce right off Machia’s seemingly impenetrable skin. While Edgeshot takes on Re-Destro, the villainous leader rallies his Liberation Warriors behind Gigantomachia and urges them to follow Shigaraki’s pet toward freedom. Meanwhile, Ms. Midnight clings to Kamui Woods' back as they draw closer to the beast, however, they are completely unaware of the sinister passengers on his back and suddenly find themselvesengulfed in Dabi’s blue flames.Mr. Compress also pops up to contribute to the battle with some debris-filled marbles which proceed to knock Ms. Midnight out of the sky (while Kamui Woods is nowhere to be seen.)
Injured, alone, and surrounded by the enemy, Ms. Midnight spends her last remaining energy contacting Momo Yaoyorozu, urging the youngster to finish off what she started by producing a batch of anesthetic ammunition with her Creation Quirk. The Class A and B studentsshould be fleeing the scene, however, they are the last line of defense against Machia and are not about to give up that easily. After barely a moment’s hesitation, Yaoyorozu steps up to lead the troops as they plan to risk it all to prevent Machia from reuniting with Shagaraki, which would surely be disastrous.
“The Voices Made Me Do It”
One of the most interesting developments in Season 6, episode 7 of My Hero Academia has less to do with the epic non-stop action and more about Shigaraki’s internal battle instead. It’s tough to say who is more surprised when the notorious villain calls Deku “little brother,” however, it is evident that the white-haired delinquent is displeased with howmuch authority All For Onehas assumed for himself within Shigaraki’s form. Refusing to become a puppet and follow in his Master’s footsteps, the young leader fights back and forces All For One off his pedestal, taking back ownership of his mind. He still plans to pursue Deku and claim One For All for himself, but of his own accord, without the intrusive instructions from a power-hungry madman.
Next Up: League of Villains vs. UA Students
It seems unlikely that Ms. Midnight will escape her grievous situation and it is therefore up to Yaoyorozu to somehow leadthe UA Hero Course Studentsto victory (or, at the very least, keep them alive!) Gigantomachia is making headway in his mission towards Jaku Hospital but has one more obstacle ahead of him, as the heroes-in-training make a last-ditch effort to anesthetize the enemy. They plan to form a barricade of sorts and inundate Machia with sleep-inducing missiles, however, it seems that they are unaware of the League of Villains' hidey-hole on the giant’s back, and may have bitten off more than they can chew. Mina Ashido appears to take the brunt of the responsibility while Mount Lady clings on for dear life as all hell breaks lose in the Paranormal Liberation War.
