The previously releasedHawkeyetrailers and exclusive clips have all shown a unique relationship between the two main characters. Inone of the manyHawkeyetrailers, Vera Farmiga’s Eleanor Bishop is seen questioning her daughter Kate over her involvement in Barton’s mission. Kate confidently announces that Barton is her partner, but he doesn’t seem too sure about that. The new featurette offers the flip side of the coin, with the two characters seemingly getting along just fine and their friendship being represented as the crux of the series.

Directors Bert and Bertie, who are responsible for bringing a block ofHawkeyeepisodes to life, talk about the amazingchemistry between Steinfeld and Jeremy Renneron set. “They can bicker and have you giggling behind the monitors, but then you see them in action sequences and it’s just lightning,” they are heard saying about the duo. Renner also confirms that the interactions and relationship between the two characters is “the base of what this show is about.”

Comedy will play a large role in the series, with director Rhys Thomas referring to “the humor and the tone” in the varioustwists in theHawkeyeplot. Even though the two characters could potentially be going up against a large threat and face several enemies along the way, there might just be a constant comic undertone that should make the series an interesting watch.

The featurette offers glimpses of some never-before-seen scenes, which include some more bickering between the two main characters. They are seen going on a few more missions and shooting multiple things with their exploding arrows. Steinfeld reveals that the amount of footage that fans have seen so far is just the “bare bones” of what the series has to offer. She also jokes about how collaborating with Renner required a lot more strength than she initially thought, and Renner even agrees.
