Netflixhas released a full trailer for season 4 part 2 of their award-winning original series,Ozark. The new trailer focuses heavily on the three leads, promising an intense and confrontational finale for the hit crime drama.

The trailer forNetflix’sOzarkseason 4 part 2 opens with Marty Byrde (played by Jason Bateman) pouring himself a strong drink as he tells his wife Wendy (Laura Linney), “I’m just sick of having blood on my hands.” She tells him he’s “desperate to be the good guy” as we see Ruth Langmore (Julia Garner) mourning over a funeral casket. Marty then points out that Ruth has lost her whole family because of them, to which Wendy replies, “Why do you choose everyone else over your family?” We then see Marty explain to Ruth that if she kills interim cartel boss Javi (Alfonso Herrera) then everything they’ve worked for will fall apart, to which Ruth says, “Welcome to my world.”

TheOzarktrailerthen shows Ruth approach Javi on the street and shoot him multiple times in a fit of rage. The rest of theOzarktrailer is scored to a soulful cover of Styx’s classic rock song “Renegade” as Marty desperately tries to tie up lose ends, even going as far as traveling to Mexico to represent imprisoned cartel boss Omar Navarro (Felix Solis). The rest of the season 4 part 2Ozarktrailer features striking images of violence, including Marty uncharacteristically punching someone in the face, and Ruth, very characteristically, flipping off the law and firing a shotgun at some unfortunate soul.

Part 1 ofOzarkseason 4 ended in tragedy, with Ruth’s only remaining family member (sorry cousin Three) being killed by Navarro’s impulsive nephew, Javi. Ruth obviously vowed revenge, but doing so coulddoom the Byrde family, who are scrambling to figure out how they get out of this mess they’ve got themselves in. The new trailer forOzarkseason 4 part 2 seems to reveal a huge spoiler with Ruth shooting Javi on the street. However, this could either be a dream sequence, a stylistic choice the series has used before, or Javi could survive this attempt on his life, which would only make things worse for everyone.

At this point, it’s hard to imagine anyone will make it to the series finale ofOzark.Season 4 part 1 also opened with a flash-forward ofthe Byrde familygetting into a potentially fatal car accident, which is also teased in the new trailer. This car accident is obviously going to be a pivotal moment for the Byrde’s, but how it plays out remains to be seen.

Ozarkseason 4 part 2 premieres exclusively on Netflix on April 29th, 2022.
