The Ennead Expedition inNew Worldis located in the Great Pyramid of Akhet, which players will recognize as a giant pyramid with another pyramid suspended upside down over the top of it.The Expedition is composedof Ancient and Corrupted enemies, and players must switch between being prepared for each type as they progress. While it can be challenging, the rewards for completing the Ennead are great. Here’s everything players need to know about completing it.
Ideal Team Composition
Many players choose the option to search for a team to join Expeditions. That being said, when selecting their teammates for the Ennead, they’ll need a specific composition to ensure the best outcome. Before heading into the Expedition, the team must determine who will take what role.
To have the most success, the five-person team will need the following:
Section One: Ancients
The first thing players need to do to get ready for the Ennead is to equip their best Ancient gear. This includes Ancient ward gear and Ancient bane weapons. The first area is divided into three sections on the room’s left, right, and center. Once the mobs are cleared on the left and right, a chest on each side can be unlocked by using the Azoth Staff on the Glyph. A fundamental way to handle these mobs is to draw them all together and hit them with the DPS for maximum damage simultaneously.
As they navigate the first section, they’ll come across mini-bossesShai and Horon. Neither one has any significant mechanics to speak of. An essential tip is to avoid Patrolling Ancient Relic while exploring the hallways. It will fire beams that cause damage and activate dormant mobs, adding to the already challenging battles.
Section One Boss: Giant Ancient Scarab
The first bossof the Ennead is a Giant Ancient Scarab called Godling Khepri Supernal. This boss is level 66 and can deal some serious damage. The player fulfilling the role of the tank will be instrumental in distracting Godling Khepri so that the DPS can do their work without interruption.

There are several important mechanics the team will need to watch out for, including the primary slam attack, where it jumps into the air and slams into the ground. The number of slams increases as the battle goes on. It also features a laser beam mechanic that leaves yellow spots on the floor that cause massive AOE damage. Another significant feature of Godling Khepri’s attack is the use of orbital relics that fire laser beams.
Section Two: Corrupted
All players must change their gear to be resistant and offensive against these enemy types. Upon exiting the portal, the team must take out the mob waiting at the top of the stairs. Then, to the left, they’ll find a Glyph and an Expedition Chest guarded by a smaller mob. Once they have done this, they’ll need to move to the corridor that’s blocked by a monolith. Three teammates will need to use the Azoth Staff to destroy the monolith.
In the next room, there will be three corridors, the Seal of the Sovereign, the Timeless Crypt, and the Corrupted Monument. The Seal of the Sovereign should be taken last, as it leads to the next boss. Once all these key areas have been visited, it’s time for the team to move on to the next boss.
Section Two Boss: General Crassus
General Crassus is a Corrupted boss calling lower level Corrupted to aid him in battle. He has three phases of battle mechanics in which different mobs will be summoned. These phases are the Spear, Bow, and Staff phases. Throughout the fight with General Crassus, the players will need one team member to draw all the mobs away from him and take them out, sothe DPS can land attackswithout a problem.
As the fight advances to the final phase, he will summon two Corrupted Cyclops. When this happens, the players need to change their strategy. Taking down the Cyclops will only result in them being summoned again. The tank needs to draw them around the outside of the fighting area while the DPS finish off General Crassus.
Section Three: Ancients
In the final section of the Ennead, players will need to switch back to their Ancient gear. This is the most straightforward of the areas so far in the Expedition. When the team comes out of the portal, they need to follow the left side of the room to the back, watching out for the Patrolling Ancient Relics.

There is one mob and a mini-boss, Sah, that are active. Everything else in this area is dormant. The team must defeat these enemies to enter the final boss stage. If theywake any dormant mobs, they will have to be defeated, too. Once this is done, they’ll need to head up the stairs to the boss fight.
Section Three Boss: Anpu And Heru
The final fight opens up with just Anpu. Players will need to watch out for his primary mechanic, in which he charges at one of them, leaving a trail of fiery pools that deal massive damage. One effective tactic against this is to take the tank and healer and position them on opposite sides of one of the room’s four pillars. As he charges, he will run into the pillar, stopping the formation of fiery pools. When Anpu takes a knee, Heru will step in.
Heru’s attacks focus on using a beam of light, and one of them used often focuses on one player, stunning them. A second major mechanic occurs when Heru activates the four pillars in the room. The team must deactivate these pillars using their Azoth Staff before they all sustain significant damage. Once Heru is defeated, both enemies rise together against the group. The easiest way to complete this battle phase is to draw the two close together and DPS them simultaneously for equal, massive damage.Heru and Anpu must be defeated within seconds of each other,or the first to fall will come back at 50% HP, and the fight will continue. Once both enemies are down, the Expedition is a success, and the team can collect their final rewards.
