The game consists of various signs that can be manipulated to allow the playable “pedestrian” figure to travel through them. For something entirely different, platformer fans can pick upOlijafor a more traditional platformer experience, complete with a heavily pixelated art style. Player’s assume control of Lord Faraday, who attempts to leave the hostile country of Terraphage after being shipwrecked there.

A lot of care has been taken when it comes toOlija’sstyle and gameplay, which makes it overall a very satisfying play. The game originally released in January 2021, and received positive reviews based on its art style and overall mood. A familiarity with old-school platformers is definitely a benefit in picking this game up, but it offers a nice, stylish peek into the creative possibilities of platformers, as do the other three platformers Game Pass had added this month.
