The new driver version 536.67 is 644.94 MB in size and supports all GeForce GPUs all the back to the GTX 700 series. For games likePortal: Prelude RTX,which is available now alongsideRatchet & Clank: Rift Apartreleasing on July 26, the driver brings support for DLSS 3, advanced ray tracing, Nvidia Reflex, and the newest GPU-accelerated storage technology called RTX IO.
For games likeRemnant 2, which unfortunately does not support DLSS 3, the driver will enable support for DLSS 2 when the game launches on July 25. As forDying Light 2: Stay Human, which is already out through Steam and other retailers, the GeForce Game Ready driver brings a resizable BAR profile that will help improve the performance of the game. The resizable BAR helps the CPU efficiently access the entire frame buffer as it allows assets to be transferred from CPU to GPU in full and as needed. It should be noted that this technology is supported by GeForce RTX 30 series (and newer)graphics cards and laptops.
Furthermore, the 536.67 driver version adds support for Nvidia’s latest graphics card, the 16GB variant of the RTX 4060Ti. The8GB variant was launched back in Mayand at the time, the semiconductor company also stated that there would be a 16GB variant coming in July. With no announcement or promotion whatsoever, the company silently launched the RTX 4060Ti 16GB just last week. No review units were sent out by Nvidia or the board partners which was quite surprising, almost as if the companydid not want to talk about its performance.
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4060 Ti GAMING OC 16G
The Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is the latest offering by Gigabyte in the RTX 4060 series. It is the 16GB VRAM version of the 4060 Ti that was launched back in May. With double the VRAM, it can outperform the 8GB variant in memory-intensive games and productivity applications.
MSI GeForce RTX™ 4060 VENTUS 2X BLACK 8G OC
The MSI GeForce RTX 4060 VENTUS 2X BLACK 8G OC is an excellent GPU offering as far as RTX 4060 offerings go. It offers an excellent, balanced take on Nvidia’s entry-level Ada Lovelace-based RTX 4000 series, offering low power consumption, a compact design, and a single 8-pin power connector to handle its power needs, making it a silent performer that delivers on its promise.
It did, however, share some gaming benchmarks that show effectively no performance difference over the 8GB variant, except for in two games,A Plague Tale: RequiemandResident Evil 4 (2023).
Lastly, the latest driver fixes some bugs, such as games crashing when applying GeForce Experience Freestyle filters, and improves DPC latency that was noticed in Latencymon for Ampere-based GPUs. The update should be available to download now, but if it is not showing up, the driver can be manually downloaded fromhere.
