Fall 2022 is in full swing, with the first major release of the season,Overwatch 2,hitting in a couple of days as of this writing. However, that’s just a drop in the ocean, as there are nearly 40 releases scheduled for this month. In this case, several releases are dropping on one day. On October 28, for example, there are several major AAA releases likeBayonetta 3, Modern Warfare 2,andResident Evil Village’s Winters expansion.
That’s a big day for AAA releases, but October 13 and 14 are worth looking at too. In fact, these two days have perhaps some of the most varied releases this month, meaning there’s a little something for everyone. Unless there are any last minute changes, 9 of next month’s near-40 games releases between these two days.

October 13 Release Dates
Fueled Upis a pit crew turned video game, with the added benefit of couch co-op. Except, instead ofNascar, players are having to fuel, fix, and work on spaceships before a space octopus takes them. It’s a chaotic couch co-op adventure where players fuel engines, fix hull breaches, put out fires, and more, while dealing with wormholes and other space anomalies.
The Eternal Cylinderis a survivalopen-world exploration game, where players must expand their alien family of creatures called Trebhums, while exploring alien environments, meeting exotic forms, fun puzzles, and real-time world destruction. Trebhums begin at the bottom, but through mutations, this alien family can rise to the top of the food chain. However, the biggest threat is the titular cylinder, a rolling structure that just keeps rolling and rolling, destroying everything in its path.
The Last Oricruis anaction RPGfocused on challenging combat and story-driven decisions. Once again taking place in space, players found themselves on a terraformed planet in a conflict between two races.The game boasts “hundreds of intense fights in a brutal medieval meets sci-fi world.”
Triangle Strategyis a beloved party-based tactical RPG, up there inpopularity withOctopath TravelerandBravely,which is no easy feat. It’s getting a PC port, which may bring old fans back and bring in new ones.
October 14 Release Dates
Dragon Ball: The Breakersis a uniqueDragon Ball Zgame, something not before seen in the franchise. WhereasDBZfocuses on fighting games and the occasional RPG,The Breakersis an asymmetrical multiplayer game where players take on the role of mostly normal citizens who are trying to surviveattacks by Frieza, Cell, and Buu. There are some innovations on the formula that allow players to take the fight to these creatures, but for the most part, the keywords are survive and escape.
Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedwayis a fun kids game and racer, building on the gameplay and courses from the first two games. Kids, or any Nickelodeon fans for that matter, will be able to take to the track as characters fromshows likeDanny Phantom, SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and more.
October 14 has two major releases for sports game fans:NHL 23andPGA Tour 2K23. The ice hockey simulation game has a lot of interesting features, such as Zegras, Last Chance Puck Movement, new hat tricks, plenty of new animations, same-gen crossplay, and perhaps the biggest isNHL 23’s custom league option. Meanwhile,PGA Tour 2K23obviously takes fan to the golf course, features an improved course designer, and other major improvements for golf fans.
Last but not least isScorn, a long-awaited horror game focused on a grotesque world, an environmental focus for horror, and puzzles that require investment and attention.Scornis also available day on Xbox Game Pass, giving fans plenty of reasons to check it out this Halloween season.
