These games are best described as cooperative cooking simulation games that work best in a multiplayer setting but can also be played alone. In single-player, the user controls a number of chefs as they work their way to prepare specific meals and orders under a strict time limit. Over time, the series has grown to include various quality-of-life changes. The account then apologized and stated that it was looking into the matter. When it was first announced, the upgrade was meant to be available on both Nintendo Switch and Steam. However, it seems only theNintendo Switch version ofOvercookedhad the Upgrade Scheme option go live on the scheduled date.
The tweet also stated that Xbox and PlayStation need not worry about the Upgrade Scheme. According to the team, work is currently ongoing to add the option to more platforms. However, no final dates were listed—with the tweet stating that they’ll announce more updates once they have news on it. Withcross-play being part of theAll You Can Eatexperience, having the Upgrade Scheme present on more platforms means more opportunities for everybody to play together.
While those who own the previous iterations on non-Switch systems will have to wait a little longer for the discounted rate, fans who don’t can still purchase any of the games from their respective console stores.All you may Eathas been available since 2020, but there has beenno news aboutOvercooked 3yet, so this game will still matter until the next entry in the series arrives. Especially since it still has regular updates that introduce new features or bug fixes rolling out regularly.
