Mythical Pokemon are some of the rarest Pokemon in the entire franchise, as they are often only obtainable through special events and promotions. That’s why it’s always an exciting time whenever The Pokemon Company announces a new distribution event, and nowPokemon Brilliant DiamondandShining Pearlplayers can add two moremythical Pokemonto their growing collection.
Both Arceus and Darkrai are now available toPokemon Brilliant DiamondandShining Pearlplayers, though there are some prerequisites to both of them. Anyone interested in adding Arceus to their collection will first need to verify that they have a save file forPokemon Legends: Arceuson their Nintendo Switch with all main missions completed. Then they’ll need to wait forPokemon Brilliant DiamondandShining Pearlupdate 1.3.0, which will be released on March 15 at 6pm PT. Then inPokemon Brilliant DiamondandShining Pearl, players will need to have entered the Hall of Fame and obtained theNational Pokedex.

The next step is returning to one’s room inPokemon Brilliant DiamondandShining Pearl, where players will receive the Azure Flute. With the Azure Flute handy, travel to Spear Pillar on Mount Coronet and that’s where the Arceus encounter will happen.
As for Darkrai,Pokemon Brilliant DiamondandShining Pearlplayers will need the Member Card, which is obtainable by using theMystery Gift feature. Similarly to Arceus,Pokemon Brilliant DiamondandShining Pearlplayers will also need to make sure that they’ve reached the Hall of Fame and have unlocked the National Pokedex. Assuming all that’s been done, the next step is traveling to Newmoon Island to find Darkrai.
Arceus and Darkrai are just the latest mythical Pokemon added toPokemon Brilliant DiamondandShining Pearl.Pokemon Brilliant DiamondandShining Pearlalso have Shayminthat players can collect, as well as Jirachi and Mew. Jirachi and Mew are available inPokemon Brilliant DiamondandShining Pearlthrough similar methods as Arceus. If players want to get Jirachi, they will need to have a save file forPokemon SwordorShieldon their Nintendo Switch, while Mew is obtainable to those that have a save file forPokemon Let’s Go PikachuorLet’s Go Eeveeon their console.
It will be interesting to see if this is the end of these kinds of special events forPokemon Brilliant DiamondandShining Pearl, or if Nintendo has plans for morePokemon distributionsdown the road.Pokemon ScarletandVioletare launching at the end of the year, so it’s possible that attention will be focused on those games instead.
