A talentedPokemon Scarlet and Violetfan has created fan art envisioning a Paradox form for the Pokemon Gothitelle. The Paradox forms fromPokemon ScarletandViolethave inspired manyPokemonartists' creativity. Imagining what a Pokemon might look like from the past or future is an excellent creative exercise, after all. This latest Paradox form fanart exploring what a future version of Gothitelle is just the latest excellent example of these fans' creations.Paradox forms are a new mechanic introduced withPokemon ScarletandViolet.Scarletis associated with ancient Pokemon, whileVioletis associated with future Pokemon, as both games revolve around some light time travel. As interesting as Paradox forms may be, Game Freak was rather restrained with implementation. Only around16 Paradox formswere introduced withPokemon ScarletandViolet. That’s proven a boon, however, as it allows fans to create their own Paradox forms for their favorite Pokemon.RELATED:Pokemon Fan Creates Paradox Form for NoivernArtist andPokemonfan Delta1Dan has done just that, creating a custom Paradox form for the Pokemon Gothitelle. Gothitelle was first introduced to thePokemonfranchise in its fifth generation of games,Pokemon BlackandWhite. It’s aPsychic-type Pokemonthat evolves from Gothorita, with the appearance of a girl in a long Gothic lolita-style dress adorned with multiple ribbons. Delta1Dan wanted to show what a future version of Gothitelle might look like.
For the most part, Delta1Dan didn’t stray far from the original Gothitelle design for hisParadox form of the Pokemon. He simply transformed Gothitelle into a robotic version of itself. Gothitelle’s face has become a screen with pixel irises and lips. Its dress is now sections of increasingly large black metal sheets with neon pink stripes. Its hands, as well as its unique hair design, now float away from Gothitelle’s body and shine with a bright silver color. Instead of having feet, Gothitelle now floats above the ground – which suits its Psychic abilities.
Delta1Dan’s styling for Gothitelle matches Game Freak’s in many ways. Game Freak largely didn’t stray too far from original Pokemon designs for itsfuturistic Paradox forms. Instead, it designs the Pokemon as robots or with metallic anatomy. It’s odd, but in the far future, all Pokemon will apparently become robot versions of themselves.
This isn’t the first piece ofPokemonfan art that Delta1Dan has made. It’s not the first Paradox form he’s made, either. He’s also made a very impressive Paradox form for Chandelure that he dubbed “Iron Bulb.” Both their Chandelure and Gothitelle were made in Blender, with some inspiration taken from Fakemon artist n0rtist. It’ll be interesting to see what otherPokemonthey come up with in the future.
Pokemon ScarletandVioletare available now on Switch.
