Another rarely seen Pokemon called Munna was featured over the weekend, givingPokemon GOplayers a prime opportunity to add the psychic type to their roster. However, those who are extremely lucky, may have gotten a shiny version. Here is everythingPokemon GOplayers need to know.

Can Munna Be Shiny in Pokemon GO?

While not every creature inPokemon GOcurrently has a shiny version, Munna does. While Munna is traditionally pink with a purple flower and reddish eyes, its shiny variant is yellow with green flowers and a darker red hue for the eyes.

While Munna is rare enough to find in the wild, getting a shiny version is even more difficult.Pokemon GOhas no shortage of rare shiny creaturesto find, players will either need to be lucky, persistent, or a bit of both as the base shiny rate for most encounters is 1 in 500. Naturally, there are a few exceptions to this rule, as some events come with boosted odds such as the monthly Community Day activity.

Can Munna Evolve in Pokemon GO?

For those who do have a Munna, the psychic type does have an evolutionary path. Players will need to first acquire 50 Munna candy as well as use a Unova stone in order to evolve it into its final form: Musharna. Like its origin form, Musharna is a pure psychic type, which means it’s weak against Bug, Ghost, and Dark type moves. It also has a shiny form, using blue, pink, and purple as its alternative colors. To earn move candy for Munna, players should make sure to use aPinap Berry during encountersor set it as their buddy to earn candy while walking around.

Once players have enough Munna candy, select the Poke Ball icon on the main map screen, then click on Pokemon, and either search or scroll to find it in the list. Select Munna to see its stats and other facts, and then press the Evolve button to transform it into Musharna permanently.
