Nintendo and The Pokemon Company revealed the next generation ofPokemon, known asPokemon ScarletandViolet, during a recent Pokemon Presents. During the trailer, the three starters were shown off and since then, thePokemoncommunity has been creating various fan arts based on them, including one that imaginesQuaxlyas a popular Cartoon Network character.
Reddit user Miconomicon recently posted theirPokemon ScarletandVioletfan art which combines thePokemonand Cartoon Network universes by applying Johnny Bravo’s likeness to the new Water starter Quaxly. Instead of donning his blue skinny jeans and a black muscle shirt, the aptly named Quaxly Bravo is as bare as the starter Pokemon beyond his trademark dark shades. To properly emulate Quaxly, Miconomicon has swapped the bright blonde hair typically worn by Johnny Bravo for a light blue shade that reflects the Water-type Pokemon’s nature.

Quaxly was unveiledalongside Fuecoco and Sprigatitoduring thePokemon ScarletandVioletannouncement trailer which also showed some in-game footage of the upcoming generation ofPokemon. SincePokemon ScarletandVioletwere announced,Pokemonfans have been anticipating their middle and final evolution forms to decide which one they’re picking when the games release later this year. Quaxly’s appearance has caused somePokemonplayers to speculate that its pompadour-like hair would continue to play a role in its appearance from one stage to another, with Miconomicon’s Quaxly Bravo looking like a final evolution.
Cartoon Network fans will immediately recognize Quaxly Bravo’s pose as one of Johnny Bravo’s primary flexes from the classic cartoon despite his face being mostly consumed by a duckbill. Reaching both arms away from his body, this pose typically shows off Johnny Bravo’s biceps but instead emphasizes the white feathers from thePokemon ScarletandVioletstarterPokemon in Miconomicon’s fan art. It remains unclear what Quaxly’s evolutions will look like, but Miconomicon’s Johnny Bravo fan art has caused somePokemonfans to hope it shares some similarities with the cartoon character.
Although a lot ofPokemonfans are imagining what Fuecoco, Quaxly, and Sprigatito’s final evolutions will look like, Nintendo has yet to confirm any of their evolutions. Because the shiny versions of these starter Pokemon haven’t been shown off either, Quaxly’s shiny may have a yellow cap which would make Miconomicon’s comparison even more fitting. Johnny Bravo isn’t the first cartoon character thatPokemonfans have compared Quaxly to since it was revealed as another fan art reimagines the Water-type Pokemon as Huey, Dewey, and Louie fromDisney’sDucktales.
