APokemonlover created a new Eevee evolution based on Larry, the Normal Gym Leader fromPokemon Scarlet and Violet. While Larry specializes in Normal types of Pokemon, the Eevee evolution based on this Gym Leader is everything but normal.
Ever since the first generation of Pokemon, fans of the pocket monsters have been creating their own Eevee evolutions. This Pokemon is the only one bearing different evolutions depending on their types, such as Water-type Vaporeon, fFre-type Flareon, or Electric-type Jolteon. SomePokemonfans created new creatures not yet available in the games, such as Poison andGhost-type Eevee evolutions.

Reddit user ialwaysplayhealer shared an original artwork depicting a new Eevee evolution inspired byGym Leader Larry fromPokemon Scarlet and Violet. This new Pokemon, called Larreon, bears similar traits to the Gym Leader with salt-and-pepper hair, thick eyebrows, and a jaded attitude. Larreon wears a tie and cuffs reminiscent of Larry’s dark suit, completing its look as an Eevee evolution based on the Gym Leader.
In the comments, several Reddit users suggested abilities for Larreon, this Eevee evolution based on Larry. Most are inspired by theGym Leader’s affinity with Normal-type Pokemon, suggesting Larreon bears boring abilities making fights longer. Reddit user drygnfyre noted that despite Larry trying to be as bland and normal as possible, he still became a meme within thePokemoncommunity and eventually inspired a creature made in his honor.
InPokemon Scarlet and Violet, Larry is described as “the exceptional everyman” with an ordinary image. Larry is the Gym Leader of Medali, relying on Normal-type Pokemon to fend off his opponents. Despite his jaded attitude and boring appearance,Larry is the first character in thePokemonseriesto be both a Gym Leader and an Elite Four member, as he is one of the final opponents trainers have to fight in the Pokemon League. While he changes his Normal-type Pokemon for flying creatures, he keeps the same bored look throughout the game.
While Larreon is the latest creation from Reddit user ialwaysplayhealer, this is not the first time thisPokemonfan has been inspired by the Normal-type Gym Leader. This artist previously addedLarry’s face on all of thePokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Gym Leadersand Team Star bosses, making them look as depressed as he is. Larry seems to be a recurrent theme for this artist, who may create more content starringPokemon Scarlet and Violet’s most iconic everyman in the future.
