APokemon Scarlet and Violetplayer has conceptualized their own past and future Paradox forms for Porygon. Though the Virtual Pokemon is not a part ofPokemon Scarlet and Violet, its futuristic design shares many similarities to Paradox Pokemon found within the games.

In a bold new move for the series,Pokemon Scarlet and Violetreplaced Fossil Pokemon with Paradox forms. Despite resembling historied Pokemon such as Hariyama, Gallade, and Delibird, these new forms count as entirely new Pokemon in and of themselves, and have new types, move pools, and base stats to show for it. WhilePokemon Scarletfocused on the past, its Paradox Pokemon boasting archaic and untamed designs,Pokemon Violetfocuses more on the future, featuring critters with roots in technology.

One critter that some might have expected to gain a Paradox form is Porygon, aPokemon that has been shunned from thePokemonanimeand is not featured inPokemon Scarlet and Violet. Taking matters into their own hands, Reddit user dragondances19 shared their own concepts for what past and future forms of Porygon might have looked like. The past form, known as Strange Beak, gains the water typing and takes inspiration from Porygon’s prominent beak and characterizes the new form as a distant ancestor to feathered Pokemon.

Porygon’s future form, Iron Drone, seems to take inspiration from Porygon2 in a manner similar to howPokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Iron Valiantcombines aspects of multiple related Pokemon. Boasting a more rounded and sleek design, its Pokedex entry speaks of how its intelligence has long-surpassed that of mankind, though it continues to serve them for unknown reasons. This futuristic form gains the Psychic typing, allowing Porygon to hit harder with moves such as Psychic. Iron Drone also boasts an incredible shiny concept that many fans felt was actually “too interesting” for the typically muted tones of Paradox shinies.

Though Porygon is not inPokemon Scarlet and Violet, its proposed Paradox forms would fit right in with those currently found within Paldea’s Pokedex. If Charizard was able to make its way into the games through thePokemon Scarlet and VioletCharizard Tera Raid Event, a small chance always remains that fellow first-generation critters, such as Porygon, might be able to follow suit. With DLC expected to further develop the latest set of games, fans will have to wait patiently to see if more Paradox forms will be coming their way.
