ThePokemon Scarlet & VioletDLC,The Teal Mask, is part one of a new story featuring more adventures and Pokemon for Generation Nine. Several Pokemon from earlier generations are returning, but the DLC features four new Legendaries. Okidogi is one of the Legendary Pokemon that players can catch, but it takes work.

Legendary Pokemon are rare, one-of-a-kind ‘Mons that are stronger than average. They’re usually harder to locate and notoriously tricky to catch. Despite Okidogi’s role in the DLC main story, Pokemon trainers won’t be able to catch it when they first meet. How to Catch Okidogi

Players can only get Okidogi if they download theHidden Treasure of Area Zeroand have started the three main quests inPokemon Scarlet & Violet. The DLC begins with Jacq calling players on their Rotom phone and telling them to come to the school’s entrance to join a few other lucky students ona trip to Kitakimi.

Going to the school and talking to Briar triggers the beginning of the Teal Mask. Once in Kitakimi, players can begin a new quest, introducing them to four Legendary Pokemon, including Okidogi.

Players will only be able to catch Okidogi after they havecompleted the entire DLC quest. Okidogi is a Fighting/Poison-type Pokemon. It spawns at level 70, so battling and catching it is challenging.

Okidogi Location

Okidogi is found in the same area where players first fight it in Titan form. The quickest way to get there is to Fly to Paradise Barrens. Alternatively, players can get there by passing through Wistful Fields or climbing down Infernal Pass.

Okidogi is found between the mountains, which appear light brown on the map, in the northern section. Okidogi will be visibleamong other common Pokemon. Players must approach it and interact with it to trigger a battle.

Battling Okidogi

Players will want to ensure they are fully prepared for the battle by saving the game, preparing a good team, and having plenty of Pokeballs. Certain balls like Dusk and Quick have higher catch rates in particular circumstances. Players can alsouse their Master Ballif they have it.

Okidogi uses Poison to its advantage withits Toxic Chain abilityand Poison-type moves. Pokemon with Poison immunities are the player’s best bet to withstanding Okidogi’s onslaught. These include other Poison-types and some Steel Pokemon like Glimmora or Tinkaton.

Players will want to get Okidogi’s HP in the red before throwing any Pokeballs unless they use a Master Ball. If they accidentally knock it out, they can reload their saved data. Another good way to ensure Okidogi can be caught is to use a status condition like Paralysis or Sleep. When players catch it, they’ll get a new entry for their Pokedex anda powerful new ally.
