While not allResident Evilgames have made it to the Switch, it’s still a great time to be aResident Evilfan.Resident Evil 3is getting the remake treatment, as was announced officially during the PlayStation State of Play earlier this month. The game is also includingProject Resistanceas a multiplayer mode extra. While fans probably can’t expect this game to come to the Switch, all other current-gen consoles and the PC will get it, so chances are most will be able to play on some other system.
While the Switch versions of these games don’t allow for mods, so there won’t be any hilarious moments like being chased by a tiny Mr. X, they do have some unique features of their own. For example,Resident Evil 5and6received an update that added gyroscopic aimingand motion controls, similar to the original treatment thatResident Evil4received on the Wii, giving players one more way to control their characters' aiming. Oddly enough, this feature remains absent on theResident Evil 4Switch release.
