Sasuke Retsudenchapter 2 was released a short while ago and it was packed to the brim with some great action and, more importantly, a mysterious plot that keeps getting more intriguing with each passing chapter. Previously, fans saw the side story focusing on Sasuke kick off in an incredible manner with the Uchiha going to an unknown city named Redaku in an attempt to helpNaruto Uzumaki, his best friend. Naruto is suffering from a mysterious disease that is life-threatening. Curiously,the Sage of Six Pathsalso suffered from a similar disease once and it is believed that he found the cure somewhere in Redaku, which is why Sasuke is here.

In the previous chapter, fans saw Sasuke head to Tatar prison and, there, look for the traces of Hagoromo. However, unbeknownst to him, this place has quite a lot of mysteries of its own which are now unfolding and this week’s chapter only made things more interesting.
The Mystery Of Meno
Meno was one of the talking points in this week’sSasuke Retsudenchapter. The beast was introduced to the fans in the previous chapter and it was believed that it had some sort of connection to Zansul, the man in charge of the Tatar Observatory. Zansul was believed to have tamed this beast and it was only due to its presence that the prisoners were always in fear. The gates of the observatory remain open for this reason. Anyone can walk out whenever they want, however, more often than not, they end up becoming a meal for Meno. In this week’s chapter,fans saw Sasuke investigatethis strange beast and even engage it in combat for a brief moment. With his other inmates, Sasuke played a game that led to him gaining favor from them. Asking them to cover up for him, he left his cell and investigated Meno to the best of his abilities.
Sasuke was forced to engagethe beast in combat and even though he tried to hold back so as to not cause a commotion, he did end up damaging the beast and chopping off one of its claws. Strangely enough, the beast was immune to Genjustu, which was a shock to Sasuke as well. However, what was even more surprising was the fact that the very next day, Sasuke came face to face with the beast again and the very claw that he chopped off had somehow regenerated. As expected, this place is full of mysteries and Sasuke did pretty well to come to that conclusion in this week’sSasuke Retsuden chapter.
Zansul’s Power
Zansul appears to be the main antagonist of this arc at the moment, although nothing can be said for sure just yet. However, he is being written as someone very formidable. He is a user of jutsu, which is a rather foreign concept in places that are not ninja villages. Yet, he has great powers up his sleeve. Sasuke hypothesizes that Meno is Zansul’s summon, however, to always keep it active would require a great amount of chakra which he doesn’t believe that Zansul possesses. There appears to be some trick that he is pulling off, however, what exactly that is, isn’t known to the fans just yet. Zansul appears to be quite a shrewd personality as he was immediately able to come to the conclusion that it was none other than Sasuke who hurt Meno in their encounter the previous night.

The two prepared to fight against each other and, at the end of his wits, Sasuke attempted to use genjutsu on Zansul. To his surprise, this trick didn’t work on him either, just like his beast. Shortly afterwards, the fans were informed that Zansul possesses a glass eye, which is why these techniques don’t seem to have an effect on him. Somehow, the two did not engage in full-scale combat, and Zansul, realizing that Sasuke is dangerous, decided to keep an eye on him.Sasuke Retsuden’sstory keeps heating up and whichever way it goes, it seems that the fans are in for quite a few shocks along the way.
Sakura Haruno’s Mention
Sasuke isn’t the only character this spin-off manga is going to be focusing on.His wife, Sakura Haruno, is another and she is set to make her introduction in the story at one point or another. While fans were expecting her to show up last week, that didn’t end up happening. However, she was mentioned, at the very least. When Sasuke was doing his labor in the observatory, one of his inmates mentioned that injured patients are treated by a rather attractive female doctor who appears to have arrived at the observatory recently. He also mentions that she is single, evident from the fact that she is not wearing a ring on her ring finger. Sasuke didn’t seem to realize that this woman is his own wife, however, the two are sure to meet very soon as the story progresses further.
Sakura Haruno is certainly going to be a key character in the story moving forward. Being a doctor, she might as well be the most important one when it comes to treating Naruto. His illness is life-threatening, after all. What’s even more interesting is the fact that Sasuke and Sakura are certainly going to get a chance to build their relationship and blossom it in ways that have not been explored in the series yet. Fans will certainly be looking forward to this team working on this important mission together. At the same time, the mysteries of Tatar Observatory will unravel slowly. For that, however, both the Konoha ninjas will need to be at their very best.
