A gutsy play from a gamer inCall of Duty: Warzone 2’sDMZ mode sees two unlucky gamers being killed right before they extract. In a high-flying spectacle they prove that the front windshields of extraction helicopters inCall of Duty: Warzone 2are not, in fact, bulletproof.
Released July 30, 2025, several weeks afterCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’scampaignand standard multiplayer,Warzone 2has breathed fresh life into the battle royale genre. With this year’s iteration comes side-mode DMZ, which introduces extraction shooter DNA into the classic circle-shrinking, last-player-standing formula. Taking inspiration from games likeEscape From TarkovandHunt: Showdown, in DMZ the goal is to get in, get loot, and get out. The latter is done via extraction from several markers on the map, where players can call in a helicopter to ferry them to safety. With quests to complete, blueprints, operators, and calling cards to earn, and the ability to play foil to others looking for the same, there is plenty of incentive to give DMZ a try.

Reddit user SabersEnd posted a clip showcasing some supreme skills, no small amount of gall, and a hot tip for those who think themselves safe and secure aboard DMZ’s exfiltrationhelicopters inCall of Duty: Warzone 2. Scouting an opposing squad from atop a mid-sized skyscraper, SabersEnd picks their route and sticks to it, leaping from the building and coasting with the aid of a parachute to right above the hovering helicopter. Passing harmlessly through the blades, they deftly land on the front end of the helicopter just as the other squad is getting cozy aboard what they assume is their ticket home. Aiming between the pilot and copilot into the back section of the helicopter, SabersEnd unloads, quickly cutting down the unassuming opposing squad. They then leap back off the helicopter, floating harmlessly to the ground where they rescue their downed comrade to boot.
Comments on the Reddit thread were largely congratulatory, though there was some balking about the matter of the harmless rotor blades of the helicopter. Apparently, the blades are every bit asdeadly inCall of Duty: Warzone 2as their real-life counterparts, but in DMZ, they are harmless. Immersion-breaking clipping issues aside, the clip provides an impressive vignette that wouldn’t be out of place in an action movie. User soulslide on Reddit put it succinctly: “Well that was just rude.”
Call of Duty:Warzone 2is still ironing out the kinks, but already the internet is flooding with clips of great skill, spectacle, and absurdity. With a unique combination of high-fidelity action, a large open playground of destruction, and high-stakes competition between 150 players vying for the top spot, there will assuredly be many more incredible clips like this one.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
