Ever wondered what it is like to explore underwater caves and find lost treasure?Sea of Thievesfulfills this by including Shrines, which are giant underwater structures that players can explore. These Shrines sometimes crawl with sea monsters that guard precious treasures, all for the taking. The Treasure inside the shrines not only gives Gold but also Reputation once they arehanded to a Trading Company.
TheShrine of Tributeis one of the Shrines located on the south side of the map. Though a relatively shorter shrine in terms of puzzle, it still holds a lot of treasure from which Crews can benefit.
Where To Find The Shrine Of Tribute In Sea Of Thieves
The Shrine of Tribute is located to the west ofPlunder Outpostbetween J18 and K18 on the map. You will know you are in the correct spot if you can see colorful lights spiraling all the way to the sky. The point in the water where the lights are going up is where you have to dive. The lights are easier to spot during the nighttime, but you can still go to the shrine atany time of the day.
If you arrive at this Shrine after acquiring theCoral Message in a Bottle, you can collect theBreath of the Seaon top of a pedestal inside the Shrine, which you can exchange with a Trading Company at any Outpost. This is one of the Shrines with little to no enemies, so you will not need much ammunition.
It is best to equip a Sword or a Knife in one slot and take a Sniper rifle to deal with the Siren enemies.
Once you have anchored your ship and raised the sails, you can stock up on food and head down into the water. There is a chance that your ship can get attacked and sink while you are underwater inHigh SeasMode, so you can opt forSafer Seas, but bear in mind that the Reputation andGold you earnwill be lower than that in High Seas.
Keep swimming down until you see a staircase leading down to a closed door. This door can be opened by interacting with the lever on the left wall. Head inside the door to reach the entrance of the Shrine of Tribute.
All Journal Locations In the Shrine Of Tribute
There are five journals in the Shrine of Tribute. The table below shows the locations of all these journals.

Shrine of Tribute
Swim down and make use of the air bubbles coming out of a pillar and face towards the mural. This mural will show you how the statues inside the shrine must be positioned to proceed. Turn back to find the first journal lying on top of a rock surface.

Keep swimming forward until you reach the second air bubble pillar, and you will be able to turn and head right. Before taking the right path, look down to find the second journal lying next to the blue coral.

The Warrior and the Sea Queen
Proceed further ahead until you reach the rock structure on the right and a path on the left. Head to the path on the left and turn left to activate a lever that opens up a door leading to a lot of treasure. Turn back and go to the other side towards the statue with the trident and yellow gem in one hand. Hit this statue twiceusing your weapon, go back to the rock structure, and head straight this time. Head past the statue with the Horn on your left and keep going straight. As soon as you turn right, you will find yourself in a room with red coral everywhere, and the third journal should be on top of the rock shelf on the right.

The Sea Queen’s Army
Head back to the statue with the Horn and head left and left again to go up the staircase and reach the second statue holding the chains. Attack this statue two times and head into the water and through the space near the red coral. Keep following this path, and you will soon come out of the water and reach the third statue. Attack this twice as well, and go back to the Horn Statue. Attack it once to raise the water level of the main room. You can now go to a new area to the left of the room, go up the staircase, and hug the left wall. You will reach a pressure plate that you do not need to press right now. Instead, jump across to the other side and interact with the fourth journal.

Mermaid Gems
After the previous journal, interact with the pressure plate right next to it and go across and interact with the plate you ignored before. Now, head straight and left up the small staircase to reach the third and final pressure plate. This is timed, so if nothing happens, you can attempt to do it a bit faster. Once all the pressure plates are activated, look down towards the water, and a new area will unlock, but this will also spawn a Siren that you need to deal with. Once that has been taken care of, jump down and swim towards the final room, which has the fifth journal on top of a table.
Once you collect the last journal, you will get the Commendation as well as thetrophy/achievement. Inside the final room, you can collect any treasure, such as chests or active weapons likeTrident of Dark Tides, which you can find and store at the Statue nearby.
This statue can store up to 20 treasures you can take to your ship. Once you are back at the ship, simply look towards the water, and you will be able to spot aMerfolkthat you can interact with to acquire all the treasure. You can hand in the treasure at any Outpost and getGold that you can useto upgrade your ship and more.
