Spider-Mancontains tons of different easter eggs nodding to not onlyMarvelproperties, but other movies, video games, and films. There are so many easter eggs, in fact, that fans are still discovering new ones over a year and a half later after the game’s release.
The latest one brought to the public’s attention gives a shout-out to Marvel’s Ant-Man. Reddit user SuperiorArachnid pointed it out after seeing no one mention it.

The easter egg comes in the form of an award that recognizes Norman Osborn for his technological achievements in the field of medical science. Norman received this particular award from the Pymm Foundation, and it features a signature from Henry “Hank” Pymm – the originalAnt-Manand the founder of the Pymm Particle. Norman likely created these medical innovations to try and find a cure for Harry, who suffers from a terminal illness in this game’s storyline. Hank probably has no idea what Norman’s actually done to Harry using this technology, though.
A lot of the other easter eggs inSpider-Manrequire that the player goes out their way to experience them. But this one can actually be found fairly easily. In fact, anyone who’s completed the game’s story may recognize it, as it appears in the latter mission “Step Into My Parlor,” which sees Mary Jane andSpider-Manbreaking into Norman’s home to try and find evidence of his corruption and wrong-doings.
The award hides out in plain sight, hung up on a wall inNorman Osborn’s living room that shows off his many awards and achievements. This “wall of fame” provides players with a clue on how to complete the story mission when they investigate it, so it’s very likely that they may have glimpsed it when snooping through Norman’s house as MJ.
Easter eggs like this show just how much love Insomniac Games put intoSpider-Man. They all display an attention to detail that most wouldn’t consider necessary for the game to be as successful as it was. Even something likeSpider-Man’s Underwear costume, which the developer implemented to be a joke, had a lot of references and details put it into it.
Spider-Man 2will more than likely show this same attention to detail whenever it releases, which Game Informer Senior Editor Imran Khan believes may happen soon. Whatever new easter eggs appear in the game are sure to be just as exciting and plentiful as this one.
