According to industry insiderDaniel Richtman, better known as DanielRPK on Twitter,Black Pantherstar Angela Bassett has recently had discussions with Lucasfilm regarding a potential role in theStar Warsuniverse. While the specifics are kept confidential, this rumor generated a lot of buzz that resonated throughout the entire fan community. Bassett is known for playing several amazing roles over the years. The actress garnered attention for her performance as Tina Turner inWhat’s Love Got to Do with It, which earned her a Golden Globe award. She continued to do extraordinary work and made her entry to the MCU with the 2018 filmBlack Panther. She portrayed the role of Ramonda in the film and received universal acclaim for her performance. In 2022, she reprised her role in the sequel,Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and received an Oscar nomination at the Academy Awards.
Bassett would be a great addition to theStar Warsuniverse. But how would Lucasfilm introduce her?
