Bethesda has released the patch notes for the nextStarfieldupdate, to be tested in Beta form through Steam before it’s rolled out to the masses. Bethesda first announced this newStarfieldupdate last week, but didn’t include detailed patch notes at the time.
SinceStarfield’s record-breaking launchthis past September, Bethesda has released multiple updates for the open world sci-fi RPG. TheStarfieldupdates have mostly been aimed at fixing some of the game’s lingering bugs, ensuring a smoother experience for fans. The next update forStarfieldis going to be a bit more substantial, which is evident by reading through the update’s patch notes.
ThenextStarfieldupdatewill add official Nvidia DLSS support to the game. Previously,StarfieldDLSS support was only available through mods. Additionally, the new update will letStarfieldplayers eat and drink items directly from the environment instead of having to put them in one’s inventory first. Players can also expectStarfield’s stealth sections to be “more forgiving” post-update. These are the headlining new additions with theStarfieldupdate, but there are some other important changes coming as well.
Like with previous updates, the newStarfieldupdate continues a number of fixes to lingering issues that have plagued the game. Along with vague “stability and performance improvements,“Starfieldplayers can expect fixes for a variety of bugs, like the one whereAndreja’s head stays permanently cloaked, and another that made it so players lost their home ship. Various graphics bugs have been addressed, along with issues preventing progress inStarfield’s quests.
Overall, it sounds like thisStarfieldupdate will go a long way in improving the open world sci-fi RPG. Fans can expect the game to get many more updates in the months ahead, as Bethesda has at least two expansion packs planned. There are manyfeatures fans would like to see added toStarfieldbefore Bethesda leaves it behind to focus onThe Elder Scrolls 6, and it will be interesting to see how many of these requests are met. Fans can look forward to the big November 2023 update while they wait to learn more about the game’s future.

NVIDIA DLSS SUPPORT
This update introduces Nvidia DLSS support for our PC players. Compatible Nvidia graphic cards can now use DLSS Super Resolution, Deep Learning Anti-aliasing (DLAA), Nvidia Reflex Low Latency, and DLSS Frame generation.Please note: While DLSS Frame Generation is active, VSync needs to be toggled OFF to see the benefit. We are working to automatically adjust this setting in a future update.
