Summary

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguehasn’t had the best reception thus far, but gradually, bit by bit, Rocksteady is doing what it can to win back the faith of fans. Via its new online video series, “Suicide Squad Insider,” Rocksteady is being surprisingly transparent about the specific type of gameplay and story that fans can expect fromSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and at its very core, it isn’t a bad premise at all. The concept ofa 4-player co-opSuicide Squadgamesounds like a dream come true for fans, and while it’s certainly controversial, the notion that it could only be the beginning for the game is a bit exciting.

ThoughSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s live-service integrationhas, rightfully so, made a lot of fans skeptical about the game’s status on launch-day, it isn’t inherently a bad thing. If Rocksteady manages to stay on top of the demanding live-service schedule that’s taken down so many games before it, thenSuicide Squadcould end up being a truly great multiplayer game. And if recent leaks are true, then Rocksteady may already have a few big plans in the works forSuicide Squad’s future, including two new playable characters, both of whom have just been leaked.

Right at the end of November, Rocksteady held its first Alpha test forSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, where a handful of lucky fans who signed up previously were invited to participate and play through the game’s opening hours. Of course, handing the reins over to fans, even in a closed environment like this, can lead to some pretty major data breaches, and that’s exactly what happened a few weeks ago.

FollowingSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s Alpha, a fairly well-known leaker by the name ofMiller Ross took to Twitterto tease what he’d learned from a seemingly substantial data mine. Ross teased that a fifth playable character would be coming toSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguepost-launch, and that the villain would be none other than Batman antagonist Killer Croc.

Just a week later, Ross took to Twitter once more to tease yet another post-launch character forSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, this time being Deathstroke, another incredibly popular DC villain that’s appeared in Justice League, Batman, and Teen Titans stories for decades. Another important tidbit that Ross noted was that he believed these two characters would be coming toSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leagueduring its first DLC wave. While all leaks and rumors should always be taken with a big pinch of salt, Miller Ross has proven himself in the past, rising in popularity a few years ago after leaking a series of post-launchcharacters forMarvel’s Avengers.

Killer Croc and Deathstroke Aren’t The Only Character Leaks for Suicide Squad

WhileKiller Croc and Deathstrokeare the two post-launch characters that Miller Ross has expressly identified, there are a handful of other characters that the leaker teased via emojis, and still hasn’t confirmed either way. These emojis include a clown, some justice balancing scales, and a blue face freezing over. Though Ross has remained very cryptic about these DLC characters, many fans have theorized that the clown probably doesn’t refer to the Joker, but instead potentially a lesser-known villain like Trickster. The scales, according to Ross, represent a new interpretation of an old character, and fans are sure that the ice-cold face refers to Killer Frost. Ross has also stated that Katana is probably coming toSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, giving fans a lot to look forward to.
