Halo Infiniteis a title that many in the gaming community have been anticipating for quite some time now. Ever since it was first unveiled during E3 2018, people have been waiting to see all thatHalo Infinitehas to offer. Though, according to a supposed former employee of 343 Industries, the development of the game has been quite taxing.

343 Industries has had a somewhat difficult go at things ever since the studio took over the development of theHaloseries fromBungie. AfterHalo 5received poor reactions from a number of fans and critics alike, 343 Industries set out to make something new, while still honoring theHalofranchise as a whole. However, a former skybox artist over at 343 has some interesting things to say aboutHalo Infiniteand its development.

In a video on Bilibili translated from Mandarin by ResetEra user random0_point, a presumed former343 Industriesdeveloper stated that the “finished product would still be great.” He later stated that the story had improved and the gameplay had much more depth, but he also told his listeners to not expect an “epoch-making masterpiece.” The supposed 343 developer also stated that a lot of content had to be cut due to overzealous ambitions from company executives.

The alleged developer also stated that much likeHalo 5,crunch was utilized in the development ofHalo Infinite. It should be stated that all of this information should be taken with a grain of salt. After all, 343 Industries has yet to officially comment on the video and furthermore, the evidence in question is a video that was translated on ResetEra via a Chinese video sharing website. It’s not the most reliable in terms of an information leak.

Although, if what this apparent developer says is true, then it largely refers to what he knows from when he was working for the studio. The timeframe of his transference to a different studio is not addressed, henceHalo Infinitecould look a lot different now then it did by the time he left. Not to mention that due toHalo Infinite’sdelay, it gives the remaining developers ample time to iron out the game.

It will be interesting to see how the final version ofHalo Infiniteturns out. It’s been over five years since the release ofHalo 5and from what has been shown ofHalo Infiniteso far, it looks like this will be a much different type of game compared to what theHalocommunity saw back in 2015. Only time will tell ifHalo Infinitemanages to live up to everyone’s expectations.

Halo Infinitewill be available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in 2021.
