Not only do the many sub-quests inTales of Ariseserve as a nice change of pace from the game’s main story, but they’re also a great way of earning Gald and SP, which can be used to purchasenew armor for Alphenand the rest of the party and unlock new skills respectively. There are 70 of these sub-quests in total, 12 of which can be found in the game’s second realm, Cyslodia.

The majority of Cyslodia’s sub-quests can be completed before it’s time to leave for Menancia, though there are a handful that can only be tackled once players are approaching the very end ofTales of Arise’s epic story. It’s also worth noting that several of them involve taking down monstrousGigant Zeugles, so players will need to make sure that their party is at an appropriate level before taking them on.

For those having trouble, this guide not only explainshow to complete every sub-quest in Cyslodia, but also their unlock requirements and the rewards that each one has to offer.

How to Complete Hard Liquor
Give the man fourEarth Seeds. These aresometimes dropped by the Roper enemy, which can be found in either the Ulvhan Grotto area or Rudhir Forest.
How to Complete Thawing Relations
Give the man lettuce (x3) and apples (x3). Both of these ingredients can be found in the White Silver Plains area; apples on a tree to the north of the Highland Cabin and lettuce near the Ulvhan Grotto exit or by a ladder to the south of the pathway that leads to Messia 224.
Enter the Owl Forest in Nevira Snowplains.
How to Complete The Owl Forest
Find all 38 owls on Dahna. Players will be able to find all of them before completing the game, though the final six won’t show up until players have found the first 32 and reached theRenasection of the main story.
Arrive in Cysloden and meet up with Meneck.
How to Complete Gathering of Zeugles
Travel to Nevira Snowplains and defeat the three groups of Zeugles. These include Ice Wolves, Berserkers, and Ropers.
Defeat Ganabelt inRiville Prison Tower.
How to Complete Gourmet Saga: Berry Scavenging
Give Gourdeno apples (x2) and wheat (x2), both of which can be found in the Nevira Snowplains area. There’s an apple tree to the west of the Abandoned Passage exit and wheat growing to the south of the lake or near the Rudhir Forest exit in the southwest corner of the map.
Defeat Ganabelt in Riville Prison Tower.
How to Complete Culling the Snowplain Herds
Complete the “Culling the Snowplain Herd” sub-quest.
How to Complete Survey Says…
Speak to the three marked NPCs who are scattered throughout Cysloden and then return to Bregon. The party will then need to defeatthe Polycephus Gigant Zeugle(level 21) in the basement of Riville Prison Tower.
Complete the “Survey Says…” sub-quest.
How to Complete Opening up Trade
Head to the Ulvhan Grotto area and defeatthe Boisterous Roper Gigant Zeugle(level 15). It’s weak to wind attacks, so players should setup their party with this in mind.
Patvo (Cysloden)
Unlock Requirements
Defeat Vholran atDel Fharis Castleand then return to Cyslodia via the Forland Mountains.
How to Complete In Sync
Head to the Frozen Valley area and defeatthe Agony Keeper Gigant Zeugle(level 39). Much like the Boisterous Roper from the “Opening up Trade” sub-quest, the Agony Keeper is weak to wind attacks, making Alphen’s Severing Wind attack particularly useful in the fight.

Watch or skip the cutscene. Despite what the message onscreen might otherwise suggest, there’s no way to unlock the fictional “Dirty-Minded Devil” title for Law here.
