Tears of the Kingdomfeatures an incrediblywide variety of armor sets, each with its own unique effects, appearance and bonuses. Whilst most of these outfits look pretty incredible, some of them are a bit more silly and playful. Looks don’t always matter, as some of these sets do have their own merits, and have some powerful boons of their own.
However, some of the more fashion-consciousTears of the Kingdomplayers may want to try to avoid some of these sets, unless they’re setting themselves up for a fashion disaster. Others, meanwhile, might enjoy the silliness. Here are some of the goofiest outfits inTears of the Kingdom.
8Zora Armor
TheZora Armoris one of the most useful armor sets inTears of the Kingdom, giving Link the ability to swim up waterfalls. Unfortunately, the headpiece for this outfit is pretty silly. It’s modelled after the Zora’s appearance, which doesn’t look too great on a human.

Luckily,the rest of the armorisn’t too bad, and is pretty sophisticated. The headpiece really brings the rest of the set down, but luckily players only need to equip one piece of this armor to gain its waterfall scaling effects.
7Yiga Armor
The Yiga Clan are some of the goofiest characters inTears of the Kingdom. They have an obsession with bananas, and their plots are often too ridiculous to be a threat. With theYiga Clan armor set, players can turn Link into a fellow Yiga Clan member.
The set comes with their iconic red, tight-fitting spandex, and not-so-subtle white mask. Players can even infiltrate the Yiga Clan base with this outfit, and take part in some fun missions.
6Radiant Armor
As one of the more unique armor sets in the game,the Radiant Armorgives Link an outfit reminiscent of a Halloween costume. The set glows in the dark, giving Link a greenish skull pattern. The implications of this set are pretty funny: it prevents Stal (skeletal) enemies from attacking Link.
This means that they see his glowing bones, and assume he’s one of them. The outfit itself isn’t a particularly convincing disguise, which makes it all the more hilarious that the enemies fall for it.
5Rubber Armor
TheRubber Armorset inTears of the Kingdomwouldn’t be too bad if it wasn’t for the outfit’s ridiculous helmet. The helmet makes it look like there’s currently a fish trying to devour Link’s head whole - not exactly the kind of look the Hero of Hyrule should be going for. To rub more salt in the wound,Shock Resistanceis one of the least useful bonuses in the game, giving players even less reason to use this armor.
The body and the legs are a bit more tame, and can work quite nicely on their own, but the helmet for this outfit is so silly that it’s earned a place on this list.
4Froggy Armor
As a new armor set, unique toTears of the Kingdom, the Froggy Armor provides Link will the handy ability to scale cliffs without slipping in the rain. Unfortunately, the set is also hilariously goofy, giving Link his very own webbed toes.

The skintight, cropped top doesn’t particularly fit well with many of his other armor sets, and the helmet isn’t very flattering either. As a result, players will need to trade their pride if they want togain this armor’s useful effects.
3Armor of Awakening
TheArmor of Awakeningis one of the most immersion-breaking armor sets inTears of the Kingdom. The helmet gives Link a comically oversized, cartoon head, referencing his appearance inLink’s Awakening.
The set features very little detailing, leaning into the simple, colorful art style of some of Zelda’s more cartoony instalments. Paired with some of Link’s more detailed armor pieces, it can look even more goofy, giving the player the ability to make some hilarious combinations.
2Mystic Armor
The Mystic Armor only exists for a pretty funny reason: Koltin’s love and obsession with Satoris. The outfit itself pays homage to Blupees, allowing Link to wear one as his helmet. The idea that this outfit only exists because Koltin loves them so much, and wants to be like them, is too ridiculous not to laugh at.

The armor’s effectsare also pretty silly too. Instead of losing Hearts when hit, Link will lose Rupees instead. As Rupees are a lot more tricky to come by, as opposed to healing items, this is a pretty bad trade-off. It’s likely that this outfit doesn’t see much wear.
1Tingle’s Armor
Easily the goofiest outfit in Tears of the Kingdom, Tingle’s Armor pays homage to a recurring character in the Zelda franchise, Tingle. Tingle believes he is some sort ofFairy, and has appeared in games such asMajora’s MaskandWind Waker.
Sporting this outfitwill give Link some hilarious green tights and an elf hat, both of which are iconic to Tingle’s character. It’s hard to imagine why Link would choose this outfit to save Hyrule in, but it’s certainly bound to give the player a good laugh.
