Uncharted 4, like all the other entries in the franchise, makes players pick up weapons on the fly. They can only hold a couple at a time, so it is impossible to tell people exactly where these weapons are. It instead will say in which chapter the weapon first shows up and which enemies carry them.
Updated July 12, 2025, by Jason Wojnar:Initially released as a PS4 exclusive in 2016, Uncharted 4 has made its way to both the PS5 and, more recently, the PC. It is a part of a slow-moving trend of bringing more Sony properties to those who prefer gaming on Windows. Here’s hoping all those gamers avoided spoilers for all these years. 10Dynamite And Grenades - Chapters 8 & 10
Explosives are always a handy part of one’s arsenal.Dynamite first shows up in Chapter 8 sitting in a crate.Nathan uses some in puzzles.Grenades show up in Chapter 10 once the team heads to Madagascar. Explosives like these are a great way to break up a big crowd.
The Grenade Launcher is also a great alternative, though it shows up a little later. It is a treat to see enemies fly after the explosion. Curiously,Uncharted 4does not let players throw grenades back at enemies, somethingNathan could do inUncharted 3.
9Mazur LDR - Chapter 9
Nathan Drake and Samfirst encounter snipers in Chapter 9. Once the enemy is incapacitated, players can take the sniper rifle and use it for themselves.
The rate of fire is slow, but that does not matter too much when it is a one-hit kill on most enemies. The range is also impressive. After the first encounter, snipers and this weaponshow up on a semi-regular basis. The game even offers some great vantage points for sniping.
8Propane Tanks And Red Barrels - Chapter 8
Propane tanks are used in a couple of puzzles, but they also serve a solid function in combat. Since the first game in the franchise, players can throw the tank and then shoot it mid-air to create a large explosion. They sometimes work even better than grenades because players can better control when the explosion occurs.

If it does not kill the enemy players were targeting, itmight at least get them out of cover and make them vulnerable. Red barrels are also useful if players see them in the environment, but they can only be shot to trigger an explosion and cannot be thrown.
7DShK - Chapter 20
Another staple of the franchise is the minigun heavy guards carry. Once the enemy is taken out, Nathan is free to take it for himself and use it momentarily. Because it is such a large weapon, players are not able to maneuver in the same way while wielding it.
They also have to drop it as soon as Nathan changes weapons. Its destructive power makes it worth using for the moment. It would be truly overpowered if players could put it away in their inventory.
6Spezzotti 12 Gauge - Chapter 8
Once players reach Chapter 8, the first area of Scotland, players start encountering enemies whowield these powerful shotguns.
It is one of the more powerful common weapons, so Nathan rarely runs out of ammo for the piece.Players will know the enemy has a shotgun by the look - they generally wear darker clothes and a red balaclava or helmet- as well as the unique sound the gun makes upon being fired.
5Barok .44 - Chapter 8
Players will always want to keep their eyes out for the gold weapons wielded by heavily armored soldiers. These firearms are significantly rarer and often more powerful. The Barok. 44 is one of the most powerful pistols Nathan can find.

They start being scattered about in Chapter 8 and should always take precedence over whatever sidearm Nathan has at the moment.Just be wary of the ammo and make every shot count. It takes only one shot to kill most enemies even at a decent range.
4FAL - Chapter 10
The FAL is one of the best weapons players regularly find from Chapter 10 on.It fires burst rounds and has great range.Players can even look through a scope for a longer range. It is accurate and deadly,a big step above other automatic weaponslike the AK-47.
The great thing about the FAL is players will rarely run out of ammunition due to its abundance. If Nathan ever does run low on bullets, the odds are likely another enemy around the corner has one.
3Flintlock - Chapter 8
The Flintlock is more of a novelty than something players can rely on, but it is worth picking up just for its sheer power. Players should keep their primary weapon with plenty of ammunition and thenwhip out the Flintlock for when heavy guards with helmets show up.

Other than its massive power, players just feel cool using an antique gun against enemies. It is surprising they work so well, to be honest, but it is appropriate players get to use such antique weapons in a game aboutfinding old treasure.
2Condor - Chapter 13
The only thing better than the Spezzotti 12 Gauge is the Condor, afully automatic shotgun. Players can make mincemeat out of anything with this gunonce they reach Chapter 13and take out an armored guard-wielding one.
Fans playing the game oncrushing difficulty will find this weapon as early as Chapter 7whenNathan, Sam, and VictorSullivan steal the cross from the auction.
1Pistole - Chapter 9
What could possibly compete with a shotgun? Perhaps a shotgun in the form of a pistol. The Pistole gives Nathan Drake all the power of a shotgun in a sidearm.
Players can use this as a short-range solution while keeping a longer-range automatic weapon to cover all their bases. The Pistole was introduced inUncharted 2, where it was a similarly helpful friend during hectic encounters.
