InValheim, players will come across more dangerous foes as they stray further from their starting point. While players can upgrade weapons, specialize in certain weapon types, and create armor, players may wonder what weapon configurations are possible inValheim.
Dual Wielding
Since there are a variety of metal swords that players can forge, and alsorepair, inValheim, players may be looking to dual wield iron or bronze swords or knives in each hand to deal the most possible damage. Unfortunately, while this seems to be a common question on Reddit, there is not currently a way to dual wield swords or daggers inValheimat this time.

Players shouldn’t worry, however, sinceValheimis still in early access and Iron Gate andCoffee Stain studios seem to be ready to roll out regular updates, players may get dual wielding soon. There are other weapon configurations that players can use that can still pack a punch.
Two-Handed Damage-Heavy
For those looking to do an immense amount of damage, they’ll want to start looking into the huge hammers and two-handed weapons that can really pack a punch. The Stagbreaker is a fairly early-game weapon that can really smackdown on enemies. Players will need an upgraded workbench at level 2, 20ValheimCore Wood, 5 deer trophies, and 2 Leather straps. While not on par with what a couple of Blackmetal swords might deal if Valheim ever gets dual wielding, this two-handed basher is very good at flattening out enemies.
Sword-And-Shield Wielding
Players can also wield sword-and-shield or dagger-and-shield combinations. This will be for those who are more cautious in battling against some of the dangerous creatures andsecret bosses found inValheim. While Blackmetal swords are probably the most powerful weapons in the game, players can deal more damage to enemies by discerning their weaknesses through trial and error and exploiting them. For example, surtlings can be killed without any battling at all by leading them to water. They will walk into the water and die without a single swing on the player’s part.
Every enemy in the game appears to have a weakness to some weapon or other, and players should use that to their advantage to deal the most possible damage. Here are some more examples of enemy weaknesses:
