Protea Warframe
Protea can use lacerating shrapnel around perimeters, enforce defensive shields, utilize plasma blasts as attacks, and draws strength from her past. Upon using her abilities, herWarframe model changes its appearance, and any gadgets on her utility belt are absent for the duration of the skill.
Ford pointed to Protea’s kit being incredibly fun and flexible. The ability Temporal Anchor, according to Ford, is one of the weirdest abilitiesWarframehas released. However, that weirdness lets it flourish. Protea can drop the Temporal Anchor for a short duration, which is then rewound to initiate a temporal implosion. A move like this makes sense withProtea’s fluidity and versatility, as Ford mentions that all features and animations come together harmoniously.
Baruuk Warframe
Baruuk’s presence in theWarframeuniverseis seen through a distinct narrative theme - the reclusive hero. This brings a pacifist Warframe into the mold, but that does not mean that Baruuk is powerless or afraid. Baruuk, through his narrative theme, is portrayed as one who may avoid combat but is extremely proficient if forced to resort to it —mitigating or preventing damage until a threshold is hit results in Baruuk launching into a potent all-out attack powerhouse.
Baruuk’s thematic narrative is a standout feature that Ford loves, claiming she feels Baruuk is one of the company’s strongest renditions of the reluctant hero. She further notes that learning his use of the Restraint meter as he builds his attack damage makes adds an extra level to her experience.
Revenant Warframe
Revenant is said to serve last ritesto souls he leaves on fire. His lore states that he once was the plains' warden, guarding the Unum’s tower and preventing the Eidolon ghosts from taking shape. He’s tied to the real-world definition of a revenant, an undead individual who returns to this world with a determined purpose. Usually, this motive is vengeance or some other wrong they endured.
These qualities from the lore are critical in Revenant’s attacks and style. Ford has said that using Revenant makes her feel immortal and swift. One of the primary aspects she mentions is howRevenant can control the dangerousWarframemobsthat form to thwart her. His subtle lethality is another critical focus that draws her attention to this Warframe, as it allows for her more discretion for action as a player.

Trinity Warframe
Trinity is one of the oldest Warframes in the game, but that doesn’t mean she’s outdated. Trinity is known for her defensive capabilities more than her damage, and this lines up lore-wise as Trinity is known more for seeking restoration than violence. She can drain powers from enemies, using that as a form of energy. Additionally, she can deflect and break attacks aimed at her or her allies.
Her status asone of the oldest Warframesis one of the core reasons Ford loves Trinity. Ford has stated that Trinity is like a second language to her, as she’s spent so much time with the Warframe since 2012. Trinity’s aesthetic and her flexibility with Augments/Helminth Swaps also boost her capabilities in Ford’s eyes, and Ford also reveals that she has Trinity with a Warcry + Eternal War build for a Berserker Priestess.
Gauss Warframe
If speed is the game’s name, then Gauss is the Warframe to want.Gauss is a speed-based Warframethat knows no bounds and can even traverse the seas. He can not only recharge from enemy attacks; he can flash-freeze his foes to death before they can even move. Known as The Saint of Altra, Gauss once defeated an insurgency by racing through the enemy minefields and capturing the needed tower.
Ford humorously claims that Gauss is one of her favorites because “if you know, you know.” Due to Gauss’s already established speed capabilities, additional mods and features can make him vastly increase his speed on all fronts and attacks. This can make Gauss not only a lightning-fast, agile fighter but a powerhouse as well. Sitting at a Sprint Speed of 1.4, Gauss is thefastest of all the Warframes. For speed enthusiasts, Gauss is a must.
Styanax the 50th Warframe
Warframe’snewest update launches today and the release of the 50th Warframe, Styanax, will also drive players to the game. With the Warframe being free for its first two weeks, until September 21, players should obtain the Warframe ASAP regardless of progress.
