Summary
A gamer has discovered a bizarre glitch inRed Dead Online, which appears to turn their horse blue and into a completely different breed. There have been plenty of strange happenings inRed Dead Onlineover the years, but this ranks among the weirdest ever.
In a game as large asRed Dead Online, it’s only natural that plenty of odd bugs would be found by the community. While Rockstar spent a while fixing many of the game’s most irritating bugs, plenty still remain. With the developer now largely moved on fromRed Dead Online, it’s likely they’re here to stay, too. Still, it’s funny to see what players are still discovering years after the game’s original release. Just recently, aRed Dead Onlinebug allowed horses to fly, which saw a lot of players drop dynamite from the heavens on unsuspecting gamers down below.
Redditor These-Note-4687 shared an image of the strangeRed Dead Onlinebug they had experienced, and it’s exactly how they described it. TheirRed Dead Onlinehorse, originally a Breton, has been transformed into another breed entirely, and more noticeably, it’s bright blue. Strangely, the user hasn’t managed to find a fix for the issue, suggesting this is a more permanent change for theirRed Dead Onlinesteed.
While jokes and memes flowed freely in the thread, actual solutions were lacking. However, one player did offer up a potential reason as to why their horse had suddenly turned blue.Red Dead Onlinehas been infected by hackers for a long time, at least on the PC version of the game. When in a lobby with a hacker, they can mess with others' games in a variety of ways, one of which involves changing the color of their horses. While These-Note-4687 didn’t specify which platform they were playing the game on, it’s definitely a plausible scenario in this case.
Considering Rockstar has largely left it behind, it’s hard to remain too positive about the future ofRed Dead Online. It’s a shame, given it’s a fantastic experience, although the online portion of the game is mostly kept alive on PC by roleplay communities on RedM nowadays. Some think thatRockstar can’t miss if it takes another shot atRed Dead Online, which is fair.RDOlargely took a backseat toGrand Theft Auto Onlinein the developer’s priorities, and while it’s understandable why this was the case, it would be disappointing to see it happen again with the next iterations of both.
