Pokemon GO’s Psychic Spectacular Event 2023 Offers Some Awesome Rewards

As the name suggests, thePsychic Spectacular Event 2023 forPokemon GOincreases the spawn rate for Psychic type mons, including popular critters like Abra, Ralts, Slowpoke, and more. While this can be exciting for many players on its own, the biggest draw of this event is the increased chance that these Psychic types will be shiny when encountered. Most notably is the chance to encounter a shiny Solosis who previously did not have its shiny variant in the game, so players looking to increase their shiny collection have a new target to hunt for.

As great as the shinies for Solosis and its first-stage evolution Duosion are, it’s shiny Reuniclus that is really worth players' time to obtain. Unlike its pre-evolutions that simply get a translucent teal-colored shiny, Reuniclus' shiny variant changes its color from a translucent green to a vivid purple, and the red and yellow orbs inside its body change to bright blue and green. Players can increase their change of finding ashiny Solosisby hatching eggs since Solosis hatched from eggs during this event have a higher chance of being shiny than ones found in the wild.

There are a lot of other great shiny Psychic typesPokemon GOplayers will want to hunt for during this event beyond just Solosis. Rare mons like Galarian Ponyta, Galarian Slowpoke, and Bronzor all also have an increased chance to be shiny, so lucky players who find one of these mons could be even luckier and encounter its shiny variant. The event also offers players a variety ofField Research taskswith rewards of encounters for Psychic type mons like Galarian Slowpoke, Wobbuffet, and Inkay who also have increased shiny odds, giving players a multitude of opportunities to find some coveted shiny critters.

Raids also feature a handful of rare and popular mons that players can try and defeat throughout this event. Three-Star Raids offer players the chance to catch mons like Alolan Raichu, Galarian Mr. Mime, and Hisuian Braviary, each of which will have an increased chance to be shiny. Higher level raids offer even better rewards as Five-Star Raids feature theLegendary Beasts Suicune, Raikou, and Entei, and Mega Raids will feature Mega Gardevoir with all of these mons having boosted shiny odds, meaning players interested in catching any of these special creatures should jump intoPokemon GObefore the event ends on September 24 at 8 pm local time.
