This can be directly attributed to the tactics players are using.Wo Long: Fallen Dynastyallows for gamers to choose their own builds and some of those loadouts don’t work as well against Fengxi. With the right strategy, any player with any build and talent level can power through.
Preparing For The Fight
Whilegetting a full-on respecwould be impractical in the middle of a battlefield, there are some things all players can do to make this final boss fight much easier. Get to the nearest flag and verify that the Divine Beast, reinforcements, and weapons and armor are all on point.

It’s always a wise idea tofarm up morality and fortitude. Rest at a flag and keep killing previously defeated enemies until hitting the max morality of 25 to make this battle easier. Getting all the flags will also ensure that the fortitude is as high as possible, decreasing the penalty should the character fall to the boss. Also, get the Divine Beast meter fully charged.
How To Beat Fengxi
As is the case with most bosses, beating Fengxi comes down to understanding the moves andblocking or parrying each attack. In the case of Fengxi, it’s best to stay back as far as possible, allowing him to approach the character and then deflecting his attacks.
Fengxi’s Moves
Fegxi will lift one front hoof up, then follow that up by lifting both front hooves up and then down again. This is the sign that he is about to charge. Melee characters can dodge around behind him while ranged builds will easily be able to get a deflection as he slowly charges forward with his tusks.
In the latter half of this fight, Fengxi will charge toward the direction he came from, so prepare to deflect this move twice.
If Fengxi puts his front legs in the air put twists his head, he’s about to punch downward underneath him. He follows this up with another punch with the same animation beforehand. Deflecting both of these attacks should help fill up the spirit meter. Ranged characters only need to worry about their companion in this situation.
When Fengxi turns his head to the side, he’s about to swing around for a wide attack in front of him. While it’s best to deflect this attack, it can be quick, so dodging backward or running around to his backside are also viable options.
If Fengxi lifts his front hooves and head into the air, he’s about to start bucking in every direction. The timing on this will differ depending on where the player is standing but it does strike both his front and back sides. It’s best to get back and wait until all four of his legs are on the ground again.
Occasionally Fengxi will go completely airborne and try to hit the character with a belly flop. Ranged and melee players will equally have to watch out for this attack but the timing is simple as he falls at the rate of gravity.
Fengxi has two unblockable attacks, both of which are easier to counter when players stand further away. Watch his next movement after he glows red.

His belly flop attack has him going onto his hind legs and lifting his body into the air. He’ll hop over to the character and, upon arrival, slam his belly down. Wait to deflect until he starts to slam down, he often hovers above the character to fool the player into deflecting too early.
Fengxi’s other unblockable move is another charge, very similar in timing to his first charge. When he glows red and the energy goes into his head, this designates a charge is coming. Players who are further back will easily be able to deflect prior to Fengxi’s arrival.
When Fegxi gets stunned by a negative spirit bar, take a moment touse a Divine Beastfor some extra damage before taking the final blow.
This fight is a random combination of these moves. Recognizing that this is an early main boss, if he proves too difficult, feel free to start over using anideal early-game build. Farming this level for weapons and armor may also prove beneficial.
