World of Warcraftjust released an amazing remix of “Arthas, My Son” in collaboration with Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park. This awesome remix of one of the most memorable tracks fromWorld of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classicwas shared in celebration of the holiday season.

Mike Shinoda is one of the two founding members of the popular alternative rock band Linkin Park. Though the band has been on hiatus since shortly after the death of co-founder Chester Bennington in 2017,Shinoda himself has put out video game collaborationsand solo music projects while also involving himself in the controversial NFT scene.

Now, Shinoda has teamed up with Blizzard to produce this epic cover of “Arthas, My Son.” The remix itself is short and sweet, clocking in at two and a half minutes, but takes fans on a ride that is both nostalgic and new. The remix combines the iconic leitmotif of theheartrending theme fromWrath of the Lich Kingwith the iconic guitar riffs and drum beats any Linkin Park fan would recognize immediately. The remix would be perfect to play in the background while raiding inWrath of the Lich King Classic.

This isn’t the first timeWorld of Warcraftand Linkin Park have collided. In 2015, Linkin Park played live atBlizzconin Anaheim, California. During the show, Linkin Park played a special rendition of “Papercuts” with a remixed intro featuring the originalWorld of Warcrafttheme.

Perhaps no other band captures the nostalgia ofWorld of Warcraft Classiclike Linkin Park. The rock band was at its height during the early years ofWorld of Warcraft, and many fans who heard the remix fondly remember their time listening to Linkin Park whileplaying the original run ofWrath of the Lich King. Many players shared tributes to Bennington and thanked Linkin Park as a whole. BothWorld of Warcraftand Linkin Park helped some players make it through some hard times, so this new remix from Shinoda meant a lot to them.

Right now,Wrath of the Lich King Classicplayers can benefit from a 50% experience boostthrough the holiday season. The Joyous Journeys buff began on December 13, and it is planned to run through January 16. Players can also safely expectWrath of the Lich King Classicto add the Ulduar raid around the same time. As players prepare for a new year ofWorld of Warcraft Classic, they can keep Shinoda’s rendition of “Arthas, My Son” on in the background to pump themselves up on raid nights.
